Chiang Mai is a wonderful city known for many things, but is its cafes one of them? Well, after spending some time at Cafe Arte (located on the one and only ‘Road Lane 7’) you might argue that it should be.
I’l explain more in a minute but first lets delve into a life lesson I learned a few years ago and still hold to be true in every sense. After purchasing a new backpack for a trekking/snowboarding trip to Tuckerman’s Ravine on Mt. Washington, I brought it to a friends house who is an expert on outdoor equipment. At the sight of it he laughed and immediately pointed out 9 ways in which the company that produced this bag cut corners and how it would likely not last. His everlasting words were “Don’t buy a backpack from a company that specializes in making T-shirts.” The lesson that I learned is that when a company/business focuses on one thing, and they spend their days mastering this one thing, than they will have the superior end result than others that are doing a little of everything.
Cafe Arte’s craft was setting an atmosphere to enjoy their great espresso, and boy did they nail it. This is the best cafe I have been to since Barissmo in Arlington, MA. Check them both out and see for yourself!
…Thanks for the wise words T!
